Public examinations form an integral part of social development. In the UK the first major
examination is the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) which most
teenagers take at sixteen. Every teenager is expected to take several subjects at GCSE and
mathematics is regarded a principal subject at this level. The Omega 321 Programme will
also prove to be a valuable source of practice exercises in mathematics for the National
Curriculum Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (see the webpage on the National Curriculum).
After the GCSE the next stage in the UK is the Advanced
Subsidiary (AS) level where again mathematics is a principal
subject. Again much of the mathematics in the Omega 321
Programme is also needed for the AS level - providing valuable
practice exercises.
Progressing onward the General Certificate of Education
Advance Level otherwise known as A Levels. Much of the
mathematics required to succeed at A level maths is found in
Omega 321 Programme. It is the practice derived from the
exercises which will prove to be of great value. Many
university courses also have mathematics modules in their first
year especially for technology courses - again the Omega 321
Programme will be of enormous help to get through these
maths modules.
